I have owned an fp L (without EVF) for about a month, and so far am very pleased.

The EVF-11 which is sitting on my desk, waiting for the FW update for the Sigma fp goes to -4.0. I used it with contact lenses and it is really a great viewfinder.

And unfortunately, with glasses, I can't see the full LCD at once. did they stop at -2.0 for the diopter? This means, I have to use my glasses. I think if you can tolerate the extra volume of the loupe it is a very good value. It is actually spectacular! Not only this, it fits the fp perfectly. The loupe has the best optics I have ever seen in a loupe. I had a chance to look through the loupe on a friend's fp. The original fp gives good quality at ISO 3200, This is a great help for hand held work or when flowers are blowing around. If you don't have to have tilt, it's worth considering. Just a reminder that the loupe is half the price of the EVF and doesn't eat batteries. The fp L is an interesting experiment worth trying out.Reminds me of the quirky Ricoh GXR from years ago. It's a fun camera to shoot with - I seriously enjoy it.I bought the fp L as a compact 24mm camera. I've used it with the Sigma 24/3.5 primarily.But the rear dial is too easy to turn or press, as some have noted. Like all Sigmas I've ever had, it eats batteries.I'll experiment with MF once the EVF shows up. AF is fine but I shoot mostly trees and objects.When I'm not causing camera shake, images are very crisp and sharp.If you read reviews of the fp L they often talk about the color and it's true. DNG images are fantastic straight out of camera and very workable.The EVF is said to be challenging to install. The fp L does not have IS and holding steady at a distance is hard, so I have to make sure shutter speed is high enough. I don't have the EVF yet so (ordered) I'm shooting via LCD.Very easy and secure to hand hold the camera with it. I bought the small grip and it's perfect.I received one this past week and I've taken quite a few shots with it so far. It's not a bargain, but it is a good camera. Screams like a bargain to me, for my use. Love the tilting EVF although I am unlikely to use it except in bright daylight outside.Looking at the reviews, everyone seems to agree that the sensor and IQ are top grade. 61MP sensor - seems like we are in scanned medium format film quality league.Small size - combined with lighter/small Leica M/LTM lens,unobtrusive and more portable (than my Canon EOS R and gaggle of L lens).Rolling shutter because I have another camera for sports/action.

AF performance because I will almost exclusively be using manual focus lens.Manual focus lens, Leica M and LTM mount.I am going to use the camera primarily for: For what I need the camera for - it looks like a bargain (and I am hoping in a few months, the price will drop).
But I would like to hear about any other practical issues that get in the way of shooting. Yes, I have read the reviews - critiques of the body handling, rolling shutter, poor AF, video issues etc etc.
